Under 16 - AERIAL FUNdamentals
ages 8 - 15
Day: Friday

AERIAL FUNDAMENTALS is an introductory class to the aerial arts and includes instruction in the following cirque equipment: silks, lyra, trapeze, hammock, rope, and straps. No background in the aerial arts is required to take this class.
AERIAL FUNDAMENTALS is suitable for those with less than 2 years of gymnastics or dance training, or for those wanting a review after a break in training. This class focuses on developing basic underlying skills and techniques essential to success in the aerial arts. A minimum of four students are required for this class to run. If this class does not meet enrollment requirements, a staff member will be in contact to make alternative arrangements. |
Under 16 - AERIAL I
ages 8 - 15

With instruction on equipment including: silks, lyra, trapeze, hammock, rope, and straps, AERIAL I is suitable for those who have already taken the AERIAL FUNDAMENTALS class and are looking to further develop their skill-set.
In AERIAL I, a focus will be placed on building upon fundamental skills and enhancing these skills with performance theory, transitioning techniques, emotive & physical communication, and sequencing. A minimum of four students are required for this class to run. If this class does not meet enrollment requirements, a staff member will be in contact to make alternative arrangements. Please note, due to the popularity of this class, it will be offered twice a week. When registering, please select the class time that best suits you. |
Under 16 - AERIAL II
ages 8 - 15

Time: 4:15pm - 5:30pm Session Length: 7 weeks Tuition: $160 +GST |
AERIAL II focuses on developing more complex skills and techniques while continuing to reinforce the foundations acquired in the AERIAL FUNDAMENTALS and AERIAL I courses. Students will be introduced to intermediate skills, transitioning techniques, and sequencing. There will also be a continuous focus on building strength and skills through conditioning and flexibility training. In addition to regular instruction on the silks, lyra, trapeze, hammock, rope, and straps, students will be instructed in other elements of the circus arts such as hand-balancing.
In AERIAL II, performance theory will continue to be explored in preparation for the annual Sensation Showcase, during which, dedicated students will have the opportunity to perform a short piece for family and friends. Please note, that students wishing to participate in the Sensation Showcase and other performance opportunities are required to attend at least two sessions back-to-back and may be required to attend Drop-In classes in preparation for the show(s). A minimum of four students are required for this class to run. If this class does not meet enrollment requirements, a staff member will be in contact to make alternative arrangements. |

Rotating Wednesday Classes are offered as a 7-week class or on a drop-in basis depending on the schedule, interests, and training needs of each student.
Each week from 7:30pm - 8:10pm, the instruction and focus of the class will rotate through the following classes: Handstands & Inversions, Aerial Conditioning, & Cirque Level-Up. Following the 7:30pm class, from 8:20pm - 9:00pm, a second 40-minute class with rotating themes will be offered. Classes include: Partner Acro, Aerial Flexibility, & Intro to Tumbling. Each class can accommodate a total of 8 students. A minimum of four students are required for this class to run. If this class does not meet enrollment requirements, a staff member will be in contact to make alternative arrangements. 7-Week Class Registration Details: To register for one or both of the 7-week options, please select your preferred 'Register' button. Drop-In Class Registration Details: To pre-register for using the Drop-In registration method, select your preferred class, date, & time via the event calendar link. Please note, that in order to guarantee a spot in the class via the Drop-In method, you must pre-register. If you are pre-registered for a class and unable to attend, a minimum of 24hrs notice will be required in order to refund class fees. Please note that in order to be eligible for the Member Drop-In price, you must be currently registered in an aerial class. All previously purchased Drop-In Passes will be eligible for use during the rotating Wednesday Classes. Available to anyone who is currently enrolled in an AERIAL II class or preparing for a Cirque Sensation organized performance, private performance prep provides aerialists with the opportunity to come into the gym after regular class hours to practice skills, review techniques, and to work on performance pieces.

Fee: $45/ ½ hour |
Available to anyone who has taken, is interested in, or is currently taking a class. Private lessons are tailored to each student’s preferred apparatus and skill level. Perfect for students who need a review, are working on a new skill, or who require a bit of extra one-on-one time.
