Cheerleading is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. Forget the traditional stereotypes associated with cheerleading; due to the skill, athleticism and dedication required to be successful, Cheerleading is an elite sport and was recently announced as a provisional sport in the upcoming Olympics! Our teams focus on gymnastics, acrobatics, athletic dance and stunts. A true hybrid sport, cheerleading develops athletes’ strength, flexibility, coordination, and stamina.
Our all-Star cheerleaders learn a 2 minute and 30 second routine that encompasses many elements, including: Jumps, Tumbling, Stunting, Pyramid, and Dance. Our All-Star teams will attend competitions where they will be judged on the difficulty, technique, execution and overall impression of their performance. Bridging the gap between dance, gymnastics, and more traditional team sports, Cheerleading truly offers it all.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN RECREATION & PREP CHEER
▪Recreation is intended as an introduction to cheerleading ▪The routine is shorter at 1:30, with modified rules and therefore less hours of instruction is recommended ▪The routine will be presented in a performance format and will not be judged against other teams ▪Athletes to perform in t-shirt and shorts or practice wear |
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PREP & ALL-STAR CHEER
▪Prep is intended as a more affordable avenue to participate in COMPETITIVE CHEERLEADING! ▪The routine is shorter at 2 minutes with no tosses and therefore less hours of instruction are needed. ▪Prep is a much shorter season (8 months or less) with no travel outside of Alberta. ▪Prep has a simpler, less costly uniform. Our prep athletes rent their cheer uniform for the season. |
